Carve pumpkins with power tools?

Well, why not?

This workshop will involve carving Jack O’Lanterns using unconventional pumpkin-carving tools. The intent is to offer another opportunity for parents and children to learn together and collaborate on a project. Specifically, we will introduce the safe use of jigsaws and power drills, using pumpkins as the medium for carving with those tools.

Children 5 years old and up will be welcome to participate in the pumpkin scooping and design, while their parents use power drill to complete those designs. Children 10 years old and older will be encouraged to scoop, design, and drill with help from their parents.

NOTE: Parents are required to attend and participate with their child.

Class times at 12 noon and 3 p.m.
