July's Respite by the River will feature local writer Tanya Nichols. Live music for the evening will be provided by Old Blue. Macca's Wine Bar will be open during the dinner hour, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a wonderful selection of wines for sale by the glass. The reading will begin at 7:00 p.m., with book sales and signing to follow. Dessert will be for sale during the event.

Tanya Nichols was born and raised in California. She received her MFA at Fresno State University where she now teaches writing and literature. Her work has appeared in North Carolina Literary Review, Sycamore Review, In the Grove, and San Joaquin Review. Throughout her life, stories, on the page, on the screen, and in her own imagination, have fueled her. She lives in an old house on a tree-lined street on land that was once a fig orchard. The Barber’s Wife is her debut novel.
