Water, Water, Everywhere Concert
WATER, WATER, EVERYWHERE concert: all three of our orchestras plus our Accent on Access Violinists, plus audience...everyone is invited! Thomas Loewenheim conducts. Water, Water, Everywhere is a project centered on the subject of water—its essential nature, its invisibility, its beauty, its excess and/or scarcity. We invite artwork and other contributions from the public. Please join us! On the program: Handel's Water Music, Debussy's La Mer, Bernstein's On the Waterfront, the music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Wagner's Flying Dutchman overture, and a specially commissioned water-centric cast-of-hundreds work by local composer Benjamin Boone: Water(less) Music. The work features the poetry and recorded narration by PHILIP LEVINE.WORLD PREMIERE! BE A PART OF IT! From adults a $15 donation is requested for this FREE EVENT.
