Hands On Skills For Family Caregivers is an hour and a half virtual class workshop provided by Valley Caregiver Resource Center. This class will review the basics of daily care for a loved one who has been diagnosed with Dementia, Alzheimer’s or any other Neurocognitive Disorders. Topics include difference between Home Health and Home/Companion Care, Home Care Topics (Body Mechanics Hand Washing, Bathing/ Bed Baths, Oral Hygiene/ Dentures, Hair Care), Home Health Topics (Medication, Proper Transferring, In Home Safety Evaluation, Prevention/Treatment of Pressure Sores) and tips to avoid Caregiver burnout.
