Valley Oak Quilt Guild Show

Quilt display showcasing the artistry of the Valley Oaks Quilt Guild. Mennonite Quilt Center Museum.

The Valley Oak Quilt Guild was formed in February of 1986 with a group of 14 charter members. Five of those original members are still active today. The valley oak tree (Quercus lobata) logo was designed as a quilt block by Lois Hummell, and it has been used as the guild logo since that time. The purpose of the Valley Oak Quilt Guild is to preserve and continue the traditions, culture, and history of quilting and promote fellowship among interested persons in all aspects of quilting. Browse our website and learn more about what’s going on with the Valley Oak Quilt Guild. If you are visiting the Tulare County area, please feel free to attend a meeting. The Guild meets every 2nd Thursday of every month and has approximately 150 members and are always ready to add new members to the roster.
