Join us for a nature hike exploring River Bottom Park, near Riverside Golf Course. Guide George Folsom will introduce participants to various bird species, and discuss the history of the San Joaquin River and current restoration efforts.

We will be meeting at the Riverside Golf Course Parking lot at 8:30 AM, and exploring River Bottom Park looking for various native flora and fauna. Participants can expect to spend a few hours observing various bird species as well as other wildlife.

George Folsom has been involved with the River Parkway Trust for 18 years. He is retired from a 40 year career in the air conditioning industry, and has a great love of the outdoors. His main interest is field ornithology, but he also enjoys discussing habitat preservation, river history and restoration, Native American history, and water issues.

Please dress appropriately (closed toed shoes, long pants, etc.) and bring a hat, sunscreen, water, binoculars and a small snack.
