In Spirit of Christmas, Fresno Police Officers Deliver Around 800 Gifts to Families in Need

Christmas day often holds an air of excitement and giving. Presents are under the tree waiting patiently to be opened. The smell of pine lingers in the air. Family and friends are near, and treats are plentiful.

However, not everyone experiences this joy. For some, the holiday season is a time of sadness and lack. There are no presents under the tree. Or perhaps there are a scarce few.

This Christmas, the Fresno Police Department took it upon themselves to not only reach out to the community for gift donations, but to donate gifts themselves, and then deliver them on Christmas day.

Fresno Police officer Pierce Masse typically patrols the southeast district, but instead used this past Sunday, December 25th to donate presents to families in need. His hope? To provide gifts to families that are deserving, as well as to attempt to improve the way police officers are viewed.

According to ABC30, "Urban Block Fitness wrapped the gifts that were donated and more than 30 officers participated in the surprise Christmas Day deliveries."

Thank you, Fresno Officers!
