The Fresno Arts Council (FAC) announced its Annual 2016 Horizon Awards, honoring those dedicated to excellence in the arts.  The award is given to recognize individuals, organizations and businesses that have made significant contributions to the community through excellence in the Arts.

The Executive Director, Lilia Chavez, was the mistress of ceremonies that hosted the event. During the event, James and Coke Hallowell was recognized with a plaque and a donation to the San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust for their tremendous support in the Arts Community and the Horizon Awards for the past several years.

Each year, the Fresno Arts Council contacts an artist to create and produce the physical awards that are given out, and this year the artist selected was Clay Mix.

Following the ceremony, the guests were invited to enjoy a generous spread of hor-devours provided by Food For Thought catering, and wine was poured by Engelmann Cellars. The event was sponsored by James and Coke Hallowell.

While guests enjoyed bites and sips they were allowed to view the museums current exhibits.
