Pet of the Month: Longtime Resident Dexter

Apr 29, 2016 03:21PM ● By Melanie Heisinger

Meet Dexter!

Meet Dexter! Dexter is an 8-year-old bull terrier-mix, who is currently Valley Animal Center's longest-term resident.

He loves tennis balls, playing in the water, and scratches behind his ears. He is a big boy but a lap dog at heart.

This May, it will have been 3 years since Dexter was dropped off at the shelter, and 3 years is too long! As much as the staff and volunteers love him, Dexter deserves a forever family who can shower him with love and care.

He is always excited to see his human friends and to play with them. As any volunteer can vouch, Dex loves going for walks and trips to the dog park.

Dexter needs to go to a home where he is the only animal and the owner can supervise him when he is outdoors. He has separation anxiety and needs to be kenneled when the owner is gone.

His adoption fee is only $25! He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, dewormed, has his flea treatment, and is microchipped.

Dexter's forever family is out there somewhere! Is it you?

If you are interested in learning more about Dexter, feel free to visit their website, or even stop by! There will also be a Super Adoption event May 14th, held by Valley Animal Center, so be sure to check it out!
